    What we store about you

    Discord

    Uses the identify scope only. We keep your Discord id, username, display name, avatar hash, and accent color. Access tokens are discarded after reading that profile.

    Google

    Uses the openid scope only. We keep Google’s subject id so we can recognize the account again. Never your Google name, email, or photo, as there is a chance those are revealing your identity. You choose a public username before appearing on leaderboards; the avatar is generated from that username using Boring Avatars. Access tokens are discarded after login.

    GitHub

    Uses GitHub OAuth with no scopes. We keep GitHub’s numeric user id so we can recognize the account again. Never your GitHub login, name, email, or avatar, as there is a chance those are revealing your identity. You choose a public username before appearing on leaderboards; the avatar is generated from that username using Boring Avatars. Access tokens are discarded after login.

    Twitch

    Uses Twitch OAuth with no scopes. On first login we read your Twitch display name and profile image (Helix Get Users) and store those. We also keep Twitch’s numeric user id. We do not refresh that profile on later logins, and we never store your email. Access tokens are discarded after login.

    Either way

    The browser stores a signed session cookie, and a token noting that today’s roll has been revealed. We do not store your email or other credentials. Guests get an anonymous lrngdle_player cookie so the daily roll stays stable in that browser.
